Did you know your Maine library card may give you access to free or discounted admission to parks, museums, gardens, and other attractions? Many Maine libraries offer passes that can help families enjoy local activities and day trips without spending a lot.

    • Outdoor Exploration: Maine State Park Vehicle Pass and winter passes through the WinterKids program.
    • Museums & Science: Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine, the Portland Museum of Art, the Maine Maritime Museum, and the Maine Discovery Museum.
    • Unique Experiences: Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, the Seashore Trolley Museum, local planetariums, or even regional theater tickets.

How it Works
Taking advantage of these perks is simple. You just need a library card in good standing from a participating branch. Most passes are loaned on a first-come, first-served basis, while others can be reserved a few days in advance.

Check with your local library to see what passes are available and how to reserve or borrow them.
