We are offering two Saturdays of In-Person Appointments from 10 until 4 or you have the option to have your documents scanned and participate virtually. Please call 211 to make an appointment for in-person tax preparation assistance at this site.
Drop-in Scan and go hours (no appointment needed): You can bring your documents to be scanned from February 1 to April 8 from 8am until 5pm.
Have your documents scanned and participate virtually. Bring all documents to be scanned into our virtual system and fill out the intake forms. After your taxes have been prepared virtually you will receive a phone call from one of our tax preparers to go over the return before they e-file it. After you can pick up a copy of your filed return.
Required documents: Photo ID (driver’s license, passport) and Social Security card for yourself, and social security card for anyone on the return, including your spouse and any child you are claiming, Tax and Income information forms such as W-2, SSI (Supplemental Security Income) or SSDI (Social Security Disability Income), 1099, 1098 (Interest and Investment Income Statements from the bank), and 1095A, 1095B, 1095C Forms (Proof of Health Insurance) OR Maine Care/Medicare cards. If you rent, you will need the landlord’s name, number, and how much you paid for rent in 2021. If you own property, you need the amount you paid for property tax in 2021. You will also need to know whether or not you received stimulus/economic impact payments and amounts (Letter 6475, Your 2021 Economic Impact Payment) and amounts of Advance Child Tax Credit received (Letter 6419 2021 Total Advance Child Tax Credit Payments).
