Family Development Account Coalition – Matched Savings Program — FDAs

The FDA Program enables low-income families to establish matched savings accounts which can be used to establish a business.  For a program description: http://womenworkandcommunity.org/?page_id=101

The Maine Centers for Women, Work and Community (WWC) and Midcoast Maine Community Action are the two agencies offering the program in the Sagadahoc/Lincoln County area.

Volunteers Help Bring Back $700,000 to Community in 2013

During tax season, people are focused on filing their tax returns, but financial stability – one of the building blocks for a good quality of life —  is about more than just tax preparation. This tax season, Midcoast CA$H (Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope) volunteers served more than 500 individuals and families with free tax preparation while helping them make the most of their money through asset-building coaching.

Maine Residents Property Tax and Rent Refund “Circuit Breaker” Program
