VOLUNTEER

Volunteer with the Midcoast CA$H coalition and help individuals and families earning under $51,000 get the most of their hard-earned paychecks through free tax preparation and financial asset coaching.

In 2013 our free income tax preparation sites helped households:

  • Save more than $89,600 by avoiding high-priced income tax filing fees and Refund Anticipation Loans, and
  • Access the Earned Income Tax Credit, which is the federal government’s largest anti-poverty program. In 2013 $270,000 worth of Earned Income Tax Credits were returned to the Midcoast Maine economy.
  • Receive $716,488 in federal income tax refunds.
  • Receive education about financial literacy and community resources that can help with basic needs, financial management and asset building.

Help us put money back into our community!
