Our IRS-certified volunteer tax preparers file your taxes at Lewiston’s Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St., Lewiston or at Auburn City Hall, Room 204, 33 Court St., Auburn, from Jan. 23-April 7, 2012.
Since 2004 the Lewiston-Auburn CA$H Coalition has helped the people of Maine collect more than $13 MILLION in refunds! Do you qualify to have your taxes done for free? Is your income below $50,000? Approximately 1,500 low-moderate income workers were assisted with FREE tax-preparation of their 2010 taxes. This effort brought over $2,000,000 to our community in Federal Refunds and almost $400,000 in State refunds.
Not only did these families receive FREE state and federal tax preparation, they had the opportunity to speak one-on-one with asset-building coaches and learn about maximizing their returns and how to prepare for a “greener” financial future.
